These instructions step you through adding multiple barcodes to a resource if the barcodes are sequentially ordered and have the same purchase information.
- Fill in your catalogue details as per usual, ensuring that all details are filled in and saved before clicking the ‘Barcodes’ tab.
- Once on the Barcodes tab click the ‘+’ symbol across the top to add a new barcode.
- Fill this screen in with the details of the first barcode, once complete DON’T SAVE THE RECORD press ‘F10′ on the keyboard.
- This will load a small box asking how many barcodes you would like to save, enter the number you would like to save including the barcode that was just entered e.g. 25 if there are 25 copies including the first unsaved item. Please ensure that you type your number in and don’t accidentally scan your barcode… (If you do this, wait until it processes the many barcodes and then call LibCode for further assistance)
- This will now run through and save the number of barcodes you told it to save in sequential order *.
- And that’s it – All Done.
*Note: If the items are not ALL in sequential order you can certainly do this procedure several times to get the job done. Eg. 5 in the first list, 7 in the next chunk, 13 in the final list = 25 barcodes / copies all up.
